Now we’re approaching the end of the year, what better time to reflect on our favourite memories from 2016 – including our top commercial interior design and branding projects.
Although #RedDesignGroup have loved working on many projects this year, we’ve managed to narrow the list down to three very unique assignments.
Wine Republic – What a cool venture this has been! Not only was working with the team a lot of fun, but each of the three stores also has a unique local demographic and architectural composition, allowing for a more personalised design approach to each.
We were able to engage talented local artists in the design process, featuring their unique designs on the store facades and interior walls. While each store has been individualised, consistent generic elements have been injected to maintain high brand equity.
Following their Fitzroy and Northcote success, Wine Republic has recently opened a brand new store in Windsor as well.
Mecca Maxima – It’s been a huge year for Mecca Maxima, who have not only released countless new products but also brand new stores across Australia and New Zealand. RED has had the pleasure of working with the team on national rollouts including store concessions, airport tenancies, and stand-alone stores.
Their most recent store unveil has been their biggest yet, situated in #TheNewChadstone. For those who have no yet experienced the Mecca Maxima Chadstone, you’re missing out! Red Design Group has placed a real focus on experiential and immersive customer experiences in the design process- an essential element in Mecca’s branding.
Specific features include the stunning façade with bright, alluring signage and visuals, a beauty bar for product testing, and a selfie station encouraging customers to show off their freshly applied make-up.
Maroochy RSL – We still get excited seeing the newly-refurbished Maroochy RSL enjoying some well-deserved attention in the sunshine state. The RSL officially completed their face-lift mid-year, impressing tourists and locals alike with beautiful design elements and out-of-the-box thinking.
The redevelopment earnt itself significant media attention; including a front page feature and editorial interview in Clubs and Pub’s magazine (Winter 2016), where RSL CEO Clare Paton spoke very highly of #RedDesignGroup and the strong, collaborative working relationship we share.
“The company have been supportive, creative and cooperative, and have brought inspired thinking, which has been great because it’s important to be challenged.”
The refurbishment features an expansive foyer filled with natural light and pops of colour, a brand new café (open for breakfast, lunch, and tapas), and a modern new bar.
