Westmead has become a showcase for innovative thinking in retail and hospitality design and at the forefront in scale and quality of design, food, and service. It is a public and private partnership that’s revolutionized day-to-day hospital conveniences.
For the medical fraternity, the new Zouki cafeterias, designed by Red Design Group, has provided a vital place for collaboration and knowledge sharing. The café also provides all stakeholders with a quality food and service offer.
RED seamlessly incorporates the intricate Zouki business requirements while also considering major paths of travel through the hospitals, and where people approach from. A long strip of fresh, high-quality food is the hero and is clearly visible from walkways. Extending the cafeteria into the courtyard has re-engaged the building with the outdoors.
Intimate pockets cater for individuals, small, or large groups – with tiling, furniture, timber screening and lighting, creating a warm and inviting escape from the clinical surrounds. The fit-out is designed to promote the Zouki brand – to be on par with the quality of the food and drink offer.
