Brickworks is one of the leading providers of building products in Australia, specialising in a diverse range of products from bricks, precast concrete panels and pavers, to roofing tiles and timber. They are a one-stop-shop for inspiration and expert advice, when it comes to the building blocks of developing your perfect home.
We worked closely on the design of the studio with Brickworks, which is located in a heritage listed building on the corner of Clarence and Barrack Street. The brief was to maintain the heritage features throughout the space whilst introducing some modern design elements, with a subtle heritage twist through lighting, furniture and material application.
The material palette showcases a variety of Brickworks products that have been implemented as part of the interior design, including a floor to ceiling glass brick wall, French pattern limestone floor, and white gloss bricks facings. Brass highlights and gloss white finishes can be found throughout the space with the hero material lining the walls in polished brass display cases.
The Design Studio is Brickworks head office and will also be used as an event space for the design industry.
